Flower Clips {DIY}

Cheap, Fast and Easy

Have you ever checked out the flowers in the scrapbook section at Hobby Lobby? Well, you should because they are adorable.

This package right here was $3.99  not on sale, so with a coupon it was around $2.25

Here's what you will need to make your flower clips
Hot Glue and Gun
Adult Snap Clips (they have a sturdy snap)
Scrapbook Flowers

Take the clip and open it

Line the top edges with hot glue

Gently place the flower on top. Make sure not to press too hard because you don't want the glue to get into the middle section that secures the clip

It should just rest on the flower. Don't bend the clip, just set it on top.

Once it's dry you are done! Fastest hair accessory project ever, right?

At around $0.55 cents each this would make the perfect gift or stocking stuffer. In order to "package" it all I did was cut a rectangle out of some scrapbook paper and round the edges. I then glued some ribbon and a button at the top, stamped it at the bottom and there you have it!

Now put them on a precious little girl and bribe her with chocolate chips to let you take her picture.

Family Session { Austin's }

And just to keep it real.....

First Bath Together

They have shared the tub many times but Bubby has always been in some sort of contraption to help support him. Over Thanksgiving break we opted not to travel with all the extra baby stuff and that led to Bubby getting full freedom during bath-time. It's safe to say we can't go back...that boy had too much fun!

Those eyes melt my heart.

Thanksgiving day

We just got home from spending time at Nonnie and Pawpaws house. We enjoyed delicious food, family, downtime, playing on the farm, and quality time together as a family. It was fun to watch Little Miss interact with her cousins and better understand how to play with others. Bubby enjoyed watching the chaos but wanted to stay close to Mama when he wasn't sleeping.

Yes, Nellie is our one-eyed daschund and yes she was born that way. She is the sweetest thing in the whole world.

Little Miss loved the "marshapillows" in the sweet potato pie.

Tickle time

Jumping on the bed with cousins

Until Pawpaw told them to stop

Tomorrow we will go get our Christmas tree and start decorating the house. I can't wait! This will be our second year to get a real tree and I can't remember for the life of me which one we got last year. Do you have any recommendations?

Tuesday's Tip

I want to share a little tip with ya today.
Want to know how to find that hard to see item on the floor? Well, let me tell you...it's pretty easy, as in much easier than army crawling on the floor searching for it.

Grab some pantyhose

Slide it over the wand attachment of your vacuum cleaner

 Turn on vacuuum

And move it over the floor until you collect the item(s).

I also like to use this method after I've been sewing and using pins on the floor. I find that a few needles always seem to get away and when I vacuum with this method it insures that all the needles are collected.

There you have it. Hope ya'll have a blessed day

Insta-Friday

Our week through my camera phone

My first time EVER to get a pound cake out of the pan in one piece. I've had plenty of practice as it's one of my favorites. I pretty much love anything with almond extract...and butter....and cream cheese for that matter.

I had my feelings hurt earlier in the week by some rude comments that were left on this here blog. Don't know why people feel the need to be ugly. Anyways, the Hubby and Bubby ran "errands" and when I heard a knock at the door I found this cute guy......

All better. This. This is what matters.

We made turkey cookies.

Apparently this is a childhood favorite for Matt.

A beautiful day at the park

Sissy feeding Bubby

Basketball season is here!

Last night we had weather cool enough for hot cocoa.

Little Miss got her first taste of hot cocoa "coffee" with "marshapillows" and was in heaven. The girl didn't come up for air until the cup was empty

Oh and lesson learned, generic brand marshmallows are NOT the same as Kraft jet puffed marshmallows. Found that out last night.

Hope yall have a great Friday!
